Santa Ana, El Salvador

Santa Ana serves as an excellent base for exploring western El Salvador by bicycle, with a variety of rewarding day and multi-day trips accessible on paved and dirt roads. From the city, you can easily ride to the stunning turquoise crater lake of Lago de Coatepeque (around 36 km round trip with challenging climbs and panoramic views). Another adventure is along the scenic Ruta de las Flores takes you through cool highlands, coffee plantations, and charming colonial towns such as Juayúa, Apaneca, and Ataco, with opportunities for food markets, murals, cafes, and optional overnight stays. These routes combine natural beauty, cultural stops, and varied terrain, making the area ideal for supported ebike trips.  We also ofter a 30 kms ride around Santa Ana to see more of the city and countryside.
